My name is J.R. Blackwell, I am a photographer who has photographed rockstars and politicians, but one of the assignments I love the most is photographing weddings.
I am an adventurous photographer who has no problem being on her feet for hours and still has the energy to keep up with your dancers during the reception.

During my time as a wedding photographer, not only have I delivered professional photos to wonderful couples, I have helped groomsmen into their suits, advised brides on makeup choices and zipped bridesmaids into their dresses.
I have taken pictures on a schoolbus, golfcart, farm, island, gardens, houses, stately manors and church basements.
Wedding Rates:
All packages include a consultation either in person or over the phone, as well as the rights to your photos.
The Philadelphia Courthouse: For couples getting married on a weekday (Monday -Friday) in Philadelphia this is the deal for you. This includes three hours of coverage, a digital gallery of your photos, and edits on 10 photos of your choice. $500
The Big Day: This package includes five hours of coverage, a digital gallery, CD’s of your photos, and edits on 30 of your images. $1,700
The Total Package: This package includes eight hours of coverage, a digital gallery, CD’s of your photos, edits on 50 of your images, and a two hour engagement shoot. $2,000
Explanation of Services:
Below is a full explanation of the services described in my packages. If you want to construct your own package, or add on an extra to an existing package, contact me and we’ll design the coverage that fits your needs.
- Photo Coverage: Photo coverage is how long I will be on site for your wedding.
- Digital Gallery: Yearlong access to a digital gallery of your wedding photos for friends and family to access for full-size digital downloads and to order prints. The gallery can be password protected by request.
- CDs: CD’s of the digital photos of your ceremony and reception in a high-resolution jpg format mailed to the address of your choice.
- Copyright: The rights to your photos come with each of my wedding packages. No need to order prints directly from me or to pay extra for full-size photos. I provide the original digital images to my clients so that they can keep their wedding memories.
- Edits: Detailed photo edits of the photos you select from your wedding. These include color correction and retouching images. I work with my clients to get the look they desire from their wedding photos.
- Engagement Shoot: A 2-hour engagement shoot at the location of your choice. Comes with a digital gallery for your photos.
Travel:
I am happy to travel to the wedding location of your choice! Travel more than 25 miles outside of the city of Philadelphia will result in a fee in order to meet my travel costs. For travel outside the United States, clients will be responsible for all travel costs including flights and accommodation. Please contact me with your location for details.
